It seems that less people are getting married nowadays. When I look around, I see more and more women with kids but no husband (especially in London). Moreover, even if they are attached, lots of people prefer cohabiting rather than getting married. I wonder why this is? Are people getting disillusioned in marriage? Maybe it's going out of style or perceived as old-fashioned...which I think is sad. Also, the divorce rates are higher than ever.

omos: just be careful that you don't remain single too long, or else you might be stuck without a wife or kids at the end of the day. I also think that it's not good to have your kids too late, even for a man.

I will resort to pidgin to drive home my point.. Omos.. you don see where Pele dey play for 2006 premiership? At 40 the 25 year old girls will dribble you like a child. Remain single till 40 let me see . Its like going late to Selfridges during the sale. All the good bargains would have gone and what is left is what people have tried and put back on the shelf.

Lol, I see your point. But the enjoyment of having to be free, not tied down by one woman, is irresistible. And who said that inexperienced women are better than experienced ones? Sometimes in life a divorcee can be better than a virgin.

@topic Marriage may be boring and going out of style, but gay couples around the world are fighting for their right to get married. Is that not something to think about?

Yes, Osagiator, interesting observation. Also, it is important to note that a lot of divorced people remarry. Marriage as an institution may still be important, but the duration of the average marriage is declining, I think, and it is not uncommon to marry more than once.
